Hot Honey Butter Toast with Tinned Fish

Crispy honey-butter toast but make it savory. We can't get enough of these.
Ingredients

3 slices shokupan or brioche bread
-
3 Tbs butter
-
3 Tbs brown sugar
- 2 Tbs honey
- 1 Tbs Bullwhip Kelp & Piri Piri Hot Sauce
- Sardine Tails (or sub other tinned fish of choice)

Tomatoes
- Olive oil
-
Dill
- Sea Salt
- Lemon
Preparations
- Preheat oven to 350 F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Mix the butter, sugar, honey, and hot sauce in a bowl until it's fully combined and smooth.
- Cut the crust off your bread.
- Spread the honey butter on all sides of the bread including the edges, and place on the sheet pan.
- Bake for 10 - 15 minutes until the butter mixture is light brown and caramelized. Flip each slice and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove bread from the oven and place on a cooling rack, let it cool until the bread becomes crispy.
- On top of each toast, place tomatoes and sardines. Drizzle with olive and a splash of hot sauce. Sprinkle with flaked sea salt, fresh dill, and a squeeze of fresh lemon.
- Enjoy!
